GAIA draws up 4-point plan for pigeon regulation in cities and towns

'Respect for pigeons in the city' is one of GAIA's current campaigns. The animal rights organisation recently drew up a 4-point plan for the management of pigeon populations in towns and cities. In this plan, which aims for an animal friendly and sustainable policy, birth control with Vets For City Pigeons comes first.
Town of Liedekerke opts for animal friendly pigeon control

The town council of Liedekerke has placed a Vets For City Pigeons dispenser in the Warandepark. The town deliberately chose an animal friendly and safe solution for the persistent pigeon nuisance. "The fact that we received congratulations from GAIA on this approach makes me suspect that we are tackling this problem in the right way," says animal welfare councillor Dirk Lodewijk.
Town of Zele places dispensers: Vets For City Pigeons expands to East Flanders

Last week, the town of Zele placed 2 dispensers in the centre, to tackle the pigeon infestation - and the nuisance it causes. This makes Zele the first location in East Flanders that chooses for the animal friendly approach of Vets For City Pigeons.
